Standing Seam

Standing seam metal is defined as a concealed fastener metal panel system that features vertical legs and a broad, flat area between the two legs. It’s also described as having raised seams, or vertical legs, that rise above the level of the panel’s flat area. It’s one of the most durable and weather-tight roofing systems available in the industry.

Materials & Aesthethics

We offer standing seam in aluminum, copper and our most popular choice galvelume. Each panel is laid down individually without any exposed fastening, making for a much more aesthetically pleasing look to your home.

24 gauge and 26 gauge

Thickness is measured in gauge (26 gauge, 24 gauge, etc.) and depends on the profile of the steel metal roofing product to be used. The higher the gauge number, the thinner the metal is.

Life Span

30 - 50 Years
One of the biggest benefits to a metal roof is the life span it offers compared to asphalt shingles.

Exposed Fastener

Exposed Fastener, or known by some as Screw Down Panels, are your more common panels installed on residential projects. It’s aesthetics are not as popular as a Standing Seam Metal Roof  but pricing is typically more appealing to smaller homes.

Exposed Fastener roofs involve driving fasteners through the panels and directly into the roof deck. The edges of the panels overlap, and fasteners are screwed through both layers. The fasteners remain visible.

Save time on installation: With EF roofs, you don’t have to hand or mechanically-seam the panels together. Having the panels overlap and fastening them together at the same time means a reduction in overall labor; ergo saving in cost.
